I recently participated in the Turn the Page Bookstore Girl’s Night Out Author Event. I met so many wonderful authors there and got to commiserate with them and readers for a few hours. But the highlight of my evening was meeting the fabulously talented NORA ROBERTS! And yes, I was fangirling all over the place. I bought her Dragon Heart Legacy Trilogy which she so graciously signed! Like the little boy said, “I’m going to remember this day forever!”

I am so honored that the wonderful representatives of Turn the Page and Ms. Roberts allowed me to participate. I’m definitely going to do this again next year! Hopefully, I’ll have The Hatter’s Daughter out by then. Now if I could just get my cute bottom back to working on it! But there was no way I was going to pass up this opportunity. During our journey we did get turned around a couple of times and almost ended up in DC! At one point when I was trying to recalibrate Google Maps it kept telling me it would take six hours to arrive! I knew we hadn’t traveled that far! It took me a few minutes to realize I had Maps on bicycle!
At one point Big Brother suggested we go home. First off, there was no way I was going to do that and second — I didn’t even know where home was at that point! But we finally managed to find our way. Boonsboro is a cute little town with your typical Main Street were all the businesses stand. We were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome. I met fellow authors, Carla Vergot, Sharee Hidalgo, Christi Barth, E. Elizabeth Watson, Aaron W. Clayton, and Emily Duvall! We had a blast getting together and meeting readers! And yes, I fangirled when I went to meet Nora. A nice gentlemen there (I’m afraid his name escapes me) just told me to take a few deep breaths before approaching her. I just realized I never told him thank you! But he did say something that made me ridiculously happy, it was to the effect of, “Remember, there are people here tonight to meet you and are feeling the same way.”
I LOVE BEING A WRITER!
I took many pictures with my fellow authors and Nora and made some videos all of which are on my social media. I still need to upload many photos so be on the lookout! Sorry it’s taking so long but Mother hasn’t been feeling well and I’m finally back too, well — 98%. I want to participate in so much more as an author. I have on my About Me page, that I’m available for readings, signings, classes and seminars. You name it, if it has to do with writing, I’d love to participate!
So thank you again to Ms. Nora Roberts, Turn the Page Bookstore and the wonderful authors I got to hang with! YOU ALL ROCK!
Peace,
Wendy
