Rapture 2025 #rapturetok and IMHO

Let’s start with this:

Matthew 24:36 reads, But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. In this verse, Jesus states that only the Father in heaven knows the exact day and hour of his return. This concept emphasizes the importance for believers to be constantly prepared and watchful, as the timing is a mystery known only to God. -This information provided by Google AI.

My grandparents raised me. My grandmother (we called her Sis) was the original King James Version-carrying, Bible-thumping, fire-and-brimstone, Pentecostal evangelist. She’d laugh her ass off, then chastise those who adhered to this absurdity for a period, concerning scripture, plus their foolishness.

This is not new. People have been predicting the Rapture forever. Wikipedia has a nice list. And people, each time, believe it. They sold all their possessions, I’m assuming because that is what Jesus had the disciples do, but don’t quote me on that. It’s pointless. If you’re in the book, you’re going, end of discussion. Or at least that’s what Sis always told us.

I recall the Harold Camping incident. I continued to ask, “If God didn’t tell his own Son the day and time, why would he tell some crusty old man?”

I could never get an answer.

Many individuals produced videos, declaring they would never again see their children. Explaining that Mommy would depart, yet they would remain. I can’t imagine how traumatized and confused those kids are now. I feel for them, and I hope they can get help. There is one woman who put her kids up for adoption and doesn’t want them back! They will never understand why mommy didn’t want them anymore. I hope karma deals with her in the worst way possible. Worse, there are news stories where people have actually killed their children because they thought the apocalypse was coming. Child Protective Services, I hope you’re paying attention. And for the record, YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE WITH YOU!

I have commented on YouTube concerning the people who are angry with Joshua Mhlakela, feeling he deceived them and got their hopes up. You believed him, in contradiction to scripture. You have no one to blame but yourselves!

This YouTube video has a section where one young man comments on how dangerous this situation is and its impact on the powerless. Children, friends, and relatives will be changed through no fault of their own. And likely not for the better. These people seem so eager for death to come, like they have no satisfaction or joy in their lives.

There is an episode of Law & Order: TOS, titled ironically, Rapture. They visit Rapture.con while investigating a murder. One representative says, “I’m a Christian, but these guys are extreme. It’s like they can’t wait for Jesus to come back and blow up the planet. I’m pretty sure he wants to make things better — not worse.”

I’m hoping that the next time one of these charlatans (hey, I don’t think I’ve ever used that word) shows up people will remember the adage, fool me once, and so on.

Peace~

Wendy
